Glenn Adams (KD4TLC) called the meeting to order
at: 7:01 p.m.
Glenn asked everyone to introduce themselves.
Glenn presented three new applications for
membership to the GAARC. They were all accepted with a unanimous vote.
KI4JOQ, KI4JCD, KI4HAZ.
David Hook gave the treasurer’s report.
The ARES yard sale has been moved to the May 28,
2005 at the First National Bank on New Hope Road.
ARES is sponsoring a Standard First Aid course on
May 21, 2005 at the American Red Cross. The cost is $22.00 per person
and advance sign-up is needed.
We still do not have written confirmation on our
reservation for the swap-fest, but we are told that we “should” be
“good-to-go”.
Glenn reminded everyone to provide suggestions to
the DVR committee on phrase ideas for the repeater.
The club will work with ARES on Field Day. Field
Day will be held at Gaston College again this year on June 25-26, 2005.
ARES has asked the club to provide some food donations towards Field
Day. Glenn asked the Field Day committee to give a list at the next
meeting.
We still do not have a firm standing with the
Westfield Mall.
