Monthly Meeting Minutes – September 1, 2005

Glenn Adams (KD4TLC) called the meeting to order.

David Hook (KE4GES) gave the treasurers report.

The Gastonia Farmer's market has not asked us for a deposit yet, but they have confirmed our reservation for the building.  We have confirmation that Personal Stitches will be at the Farmer's Market.

We have lost the ability to use the Community at the Westfield Shopping Mall.  If you have suggestions on where we can meet, please contact Glenn.

The repeaters on the Bessemer City Water Tower on Whetstone Mountain are working.  We have a backup for the 146.805, plus the 444.750, the 53.110, and a packet digi-peater.

Milton Rice (KC4YOT) has access to a service monitor, which he will use to check the operational efficiency of all of our repeaters.

Gaston County ARES is sponsoring a Morse Code class.  The class will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm starting on September 13, 2005.

Don Wankel (KG4TQE) presented tonight's program "Simple VHF Direction Finding".
